Welcome to The Media Circus

Final Cut Screen

The Media Circus is…

…the home of quality, creative post-production for a wide range of producers, directors and corporations. As owner and post-production director, my goal has always been to combine the latest technology with my decades of editorial experience to provide great video at a great value.

Digital Media for Everybody…

…isn't just a slogan. I believe in helping everybody, from Fortune 500 companies like Motorola to up-and-coming directors, whether it's with my own state-of-the-art digital video equipment, freelancing on other producers' Avid and Final Cut editing systems or providing Final Cut training that empowers people to create their own programs.

Experience…

Over twenty-five years working on every kind of program imaginable, from features to Oprah, commercials and corporate (my resume's here). Working long hours, pacifying challenging clients and meeting tight deadlines are all part of a normal day.

Creativity…

Not just a creative editor, but also a skilled writer and musician (get my new song here, plus you may have even seen my band's award-winning videos on MTV or heard us on Chicago radio). Combine those skills with a desire to make every show unique and memorable, and you get a tight edit that moves along like a great three-minute pop song.

Collaboration…

It's not about me; it's about your project, so I believe in innovative, flexible work-flows to get you the best product for the best value. There are tons of options: offline at your place and online here. Or digitize media at your place and bring it here for the edit. Or let me show you how you can do it all at your place on your own Final Cut system.

Value…

It looks like tighter belts are back in style. So count on my experience to get you a great-looking product no matter what your budget is. You can even earn miles and rewards - just use your favorite credit card to pay using PayPal – and get a substantial discount for prompt payments.

Satisfaction…

Some of my best clients are people I've worked with for over a decade. Call me, Scott Brewer, at (312) 588-0000 and find out why they're so loyal.

A friendly note about e-mail:
I don't know about you, but I'm getting literally thousands of spam messages every week, so I would suggest calling instead of sending an unsolicited e-mail.

A friendly note about resumes:
Currently, I'm not hiring. However, I always like to know about talented free-lancers, especially if you have your own Final Cut/After Effects system or do other specialty graphics work.

The Monadnock Building c. 1900

The Monadnock Buildingis in the heart of downtown Chicago, steps away from everything that makes this city exciting. When it was completed in 1893, it was the world's largest office building, and it's still famous today because of its radical design that set the stage for 20th century modernism. John Root, the architect, wanted to make a bold statement. So, unlike every other building of the time, his design did away with frilly ornamentation and superfluous decorations, creating a structure that is simple, bold and elegant.
Hmm, doing away with all the superfluous stuff and focusing on the essentials…Hey! That's what we're doing at the Media Circus! So instead of working like a mole in some dark, airless edit room, come to The Media Circus, where you can work in a bright, cheerful day-lit room and (gasp!) even open a window if you want to.
